Things continue to chug along here.
Big news is I may or may not have felt movement over the last few days. Not often, but sometimes. I've definitely felt something, something I've not felt before, but I'm not totally convinced it was the critter. I hope so though, because it would be very reassuring if it were. It feels sort of like wiggly jello, or something moving flutteringly (so not a word, but you understand me) through jello. If that makes any sense at all. I hope it keeps up and gets stronger, so I don't have to question it.
I'm also 2 weeks post-OB visit, and am holding the crazies at bay. For now. The distraction of is it/isn't it movement has kept me busy. I am still really looking forward to that Level II though. 3 weeks from tomorrow. Not that I'm counting or anything.
I spent some time with my niece this weekend. It had been a couple months since I'd seen her, and wow! She is really becoming a little chatty person. Her 3rd birthday is next month! Hard to believe. And she told me she loves to listen to Neko Case. At almost-3! Such a little alterna-girl, after my own heart.
That's it. Life is still uneventful here, and that is a very very good thing.
BTW, Google Analytics tells me you are still reading, or at least stopping by to check on me, but I've gotten very few comments of late. So if you read this far, take 20 seconds to just say hi, let me know you are still there. Tell me a joke or a funny. Tell me your favorite summer snack (mine of late: nectarines). Everybody loves a comment, even a for-now uneventful, always-slightly-paranoid pregnant lady.

Hey Pie.... silently blog stalking you guys, lol. Excited for you and very, very hopeful. Btw...."flutteringly in loose Jello"... is exactly what you think it is.... the critter ! :))
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are 17 weeks pregnant!! Holy cow! I think uneventful and boring are the absolute right things to be now, and so congratulations on a job well done!
ReplyDeleteI've been loving peanutbutter and saltines, and honeydew melon (not together, you understand). The former because it keeps me from being nauseous, and the latter because it is just so yummmy!
That's it, you felt the critter!!!! That's exactly what happened to me and around the same time. It feels like a strange flutter and leaves you thinking, was that what I think it was??? You just wait, soon you'll be like, oh, that was totally the critter!
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading! And to me that analogy of something moving flutteringly through jello sounds right on target. I would imagine that is exactly what the critter feels like when it moves right now, since it is not big enough to rub up on you yet, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things are moving forward uneventfully - uneventful is good!
I'm still here and enjoying your updates. Can't believe you are almost to your 20 week appt!
ReplyDeleteI am still here! So happy that you're likely feeling the beginnings of movement and that you're 17 weeks! I am loving some strawberries this summer--strawberry shortcake is the best when it's 100 degrees outside!
ReplyDeleteHey there! I stalk all the blogs- I rarely leave comments! Glad to hear you are doing well. I'm almost 25 weeks pregnant with twins, and I didn't really feel much movement until about 22 weeks! My first pregnancy. So, you're doin' fine! My fave summer snacks are: watermelon, snoballs (or snow cones), and Icees! And ice cream- always.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been commenting - I'm finishing up a grad school class and learning how to be a mom to my 2 month old daughter (man breastfeeding never seems to get easier). But I know how you feel - I hardly ever get comments on my blog! Anyway - so glad you're starting to feel things. Soon you'll feel the definitive movement and then you'll know if all of this has been your baby bean or not! Exciting! Hope all continues to go well!

hey pie, still here. still reading. still rooting for you : )
ReplyDeleteMo
Definitely sounds like baby movement. I don't think anyone is sure at first, but what you describe sounds like your little bean wiggling and giggling around.
ReplyDeleteGuilty of reading and not commenting.... hanging my head in shame. :)
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to Rainier cherries. They are now getting hard to find, and I have been buying them 2 lbs at a time!
I'm still reading just not in a great head space at the minute to comment.
ReplyDeleteYay for *possible* movement.
x
Still here and happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI like sugar free ice pops...when it's 101 and you go running it's the only thing to cool your core temp back down!
ReplyDeleteI"m here too. Glad you are having an uneventful pg!
ReplyDeleteYup, still here! So excited your pregnancy is progressing well and you're feeling more and more confident! Almost halfway!
ReplyDeleteHi Pie! I read your blog all the time... I hardly ever comment and I really should because I LOVE getting comments on my blog! I'm 21 wks pregnant and missed all the flutters that people talk about because my placenta is right on the front of my uterus. :-/ But just this week I started feeling actual kicks and it's so fun! When I'm really still and tipped just a little to the right, I can actually see the kicks! Best. Feeling. Ever. I wish you all the luck in the world! I totally get the whole jinxy thing... My friends started talking shower plans early on and it was all I could do to be appreciative and not say STOP THIS CRAZY TALK! But now at 21 wks and feeling movement, I've relaxed enough to look at nursery ideas. Stop by my blog and weigh in on my choices!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving pluots this summer!
Ohh, I missed this post, but yes I'm still reading (albeit late!) and thinking of you!!
