Estrogen or allergies

I am swimming through jello.

That's what it feels like, at least. I am all sorts of tired and out of it today. I slept well last night, but could not drag myself out of bed this morning. Poor Umps (my fluffy cat) was meowsing up a storm, waiting to get fed. She was like, "Lady, get your butt moving and get me some tuna!" But I was so tired! Still am.

And in the shower this morning, I forgot that I had put conditioner in my hair, and forgot to rinse it out. Yup, I turned off the shower, thinking I was done, and reached up to wring out the water from my hair (it's pretty long these days). And it was all goopy/slick from the conditioner. Which I forgot to rinse out. Geez.

So should I blame this on the estrogen - the hopefully large increase that should be now coursing through my veins from the 4 patches on my torso? Or is it allergies? There is a fine yellow dust all over everything outside, and I'm a little snotty and itchy-eyed.

I blame estrogen. When in doubt, blame the hormones, right?

  1. I always blame the hormones :-).

Hope the snotty and itchiness goes away soon.

  2. Definitely blame the hormones. I hope you get some time to rest/relax soon.

  3. Agreed. I blame the hormones on everything and it usually works to get me out some serious house chores. Hopefully once your body adjusts to the added estrogen, you will feel normal again. It must be a great sign that the extra estrogen is doing its job!

  4. I've done that exact thing w/o any meds or allergies! But, when in doubt, blame the hormones!

  5. I agree, blame the hormones. That's what I'm going with. I hope you have PLENTY of estrogen running through you right now. I've actually forgotten to wash my hair in the shower before, but that wasn't because of allergies or hormones...I just had a senior type moment and forgot. :-)

  6. Estrogen is WHACK. It's the hormones (so say I!). =) Hopefully this gang of patches will work their magic and get you all nice and ready for the babies.

Pie, you are so so so SO close to GO time! Can't wait!
