My e2 check was today. After 6 days on patches, they hope to see my e2 anywhere over 50. And I tell ya, I am feeling the effects of the estrogen in my body (see last post). So I went into this e2 check all sorts of cocky.
I know my body. I can tell when stuff is going on.
Ummmm...apparently not so much. My nurse just called and said I was low. At 46.2.
Damn. Body lets me down again.
While that doesn't seem like a huge difference to me (from 46 to 50, I mean), it seems like the far-away clinic and Dr. Famous think differently. The nurse has upped my one patch to four, right now. I wasn't supposed to be on four patches until next week, with a slow progression. It was supposed to be two patches Wednesday, three Friday and four Sunday.
I'm trying very hard not to freak out, and I'm doing a pretty good job of that. I'm just a wee bit freaking out. I slapped those patches on - all over - and hope they work. I won't get checked again until the 24th - when they do an u/s, in addition the the e2, to make sure the lining is pretty. So I have to just trust that the patches will kick in.
Anyone out there in bloggie-land have a good result after an initially low e2? Please reassure me.

For my last lining check I was cocky too. It totally sucks when our bodies keep failing. So hoping that it will be fixed with the meds.
ReplyDeleteMe, me, me!!! On my first FET attempt, my e2 was 79 and in the end, I ended up being cancelled due to no triple pattern despite perfect e2 levels all the way. On my 2nd attempt, my e2 was only 37 and they added estrace. Everything proceeded perfectly and on time and you know the result. Hope that reassures you!
ReplyDelete*hugs* I'm sorry the patches aren't working as fast as they should be. I hope adding the extra ones does the trick.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything (yet) about e2 levels but just wanted to stop by and say thanks so much for your comments on my blog. It's always nice to talk to someone who's on a similar path and I've found very few other people in the blogosphere who have the Beta-3 Integrin issue (or even know what it is!). It looks like we'll also be doing MA. I just hope we're as lucky as you and that we discover a normal in there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI'll be watching and rooting for you.

I did not but I *did* misunderstand the patch directions and was changing my patches EVERY day instead of EOD. So my E2 was sky high. I wouldn't worry too much - I think that there is a lot of margin for "error" in this process - as long as your E2 is increasing and you get a trilaminar lining I think you'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteNo success story here, but just telling you to hang in there!
ReplyDeleteGotta love how our bodies like to mess with us. Ugh! The good news is that the E2 is on the rise, even if slowly. Stay as positive as you can...I am sending you loads of rising E2 level vibes. You might be a bit behind schedule, but that's ok. It's slow and steady that wins the race.
ReplyDeleteOh pie I'm just catching up on your posts. 4 patches must take up an awful lot of space on your body!!!!
ReplyDelete24th is still a good while away yet, plenty of time for your e2 to rise and your lining to plumpen up. Hang in there, this process is so ridiculously slow and you can't help but second guess everything along the way but I'm sure your levels will get to the right level when it matters. xxxx Thinking of you.
