Counting days

Still here, still nervous.

I am going to a different clinic for monitoring than I went to locally for my 2 previous IVFs - long, drama-y story - but the short version is they were not very nice or interested in helping me while I was treated at the far-away clinic. So I went to a very huge IVF center that is used to, and I even hear sometime refers, patients to the far away clinic. They have been very nice so far.

But this means I'm not sure if the u/s tech will be forthcoming with what she sees at my appointment. Or am I going to have to wait til the nurse from the far away clinic calls me hours later? I'm hoping for the first, just so I can have a few hours less of waiting.

Other than that, not much to report. I had a minor freak out on Tuesday, when I realized I had not been taking the baby aspirin that I was supposed to be taking for the last few weeks (since I started the patches). Whoops. As long as it didn't mess up my lining, which I don't think it is for anyway, I think all is ok. I started it Tuesday. I tend towards bleeding versus clotting, so I'm not too worried about that part of it.

Rationalize, rationalize.

Is it Saturday yet?

  1. Eek! I will be checking your blog this weekend to see how your lining check goes! I am also going to a different clinic for my local monitoring. I kind of just needed a fresh start and didn't really think my old RE was very professional at times. Best of luck on Saturday!!!!!

  3. I think you are right about the aspirin not being for your lining. I hope your tech gives you some information at your monitoring appointment...I'm sure it will be torturous waiting another couple of hours to know how good the lining looks. Best of luck to you this weekend!

  5. I know what you mean about the monitoring. My local clinic is giving me such a hard time, but I don't really have other options. I'm glad that you do.

  6. I'm thinking of you Pie, I hope the monitoring clinic will give you an idea of how things are looking so you dont have to wait for the far away clinic to relay the info.
I hope Saturday comes around fast for you. This feels like it has been a long time coming, even for me, so I can imagine that it's felt even longer for you. Hang in there buddy.

  9. Because it's a Saturday, even if the clinic at home doesn't tell you, you might not have to wait THAT long because I think they try to wrap things up quickly on Saturdays. So maybe they'll call sooner rather than later. But I can't imagine the u/s tech not telling you what she sees.... You MUST get good news! I am thinking BIG positive thoughts for you. And to answer your question, beta is Saturday, May 1. (I'm hoping my Saturday theory above pans out next weekend, too.)
