This weekend I have a weekend away at a spa. Sounds great, right? But the problem here is this weekend will include penis water bottles. Although I guess they are not really for water, are they?
Yes, that's right. Bachelorette weekend. Oh boy.
Sorry if my enthusiasm for this is lacking a bit. I am just not looking forward to acting like I'm 20 (wait, I never acted like this when I WAS 20, hmmmm) with a bunch of 40 year old women. I mean, why do women do this?
Anyway, the bride-to-be is very excited about being a bride. Which is nice. And I'm happy for her. The guy she is marrying vowed (before meeting her, although he said it during the first few years of them dating too) that he'd never get married. But they are good for each other, and he gave in. They are both in their 40s, although the still party like they are in their early 30's. Or late 20's, whatever. You get the point.
So I am imagining all sorts of penis wine glass antics. But I will put on my happy face, pretend to drink more than I do (which will not be much, as I'm not really supposed to drink while prepping for FET), serve my sweet-n-sour meatballs, and play along.
But if someone gives me a feather boa, or a some sort of phallic necklace, hat or other item of scary clothing, so help me, it will not be pretty.

ReplyDeleteWe played pin the penis on the groom at the last bachelorette party I went to. Yep, things sunk pretty low after that.
